Charley is 29 and lives with a rare genetic condition called Marfan Syndrome. For the last 12 months Charley has been more active and been focused on eating more healthily.
"Being more active has really helped my confidence as well as my mental and physical health. When I was 26, I was told I could die before my 30th birthday, since then with support I have lost weight and now my condition is stable'
Charley has been supported by a number of local projects including weight management programmes Healthy Lives and Slimming World. Indeed, Charley was crowned Slimming World's 'Women of the Year 2022' after losing 9st.
Charley has also regularly attends physical activity sessions in the community including: Wheels for All cycling sessions at the athletics track, Swimming and Seated Exercise at The Link Centre. Charley also walks every day and also keeps active with YouTube workouts.
